food photography
The Tech Club is working on its second piece to be shown on the Hiki No program. The topic is "How to take a better food photo." Today they tried out taking pictures of some cupcakes to get ready. This was the best of the bunch. The cupcakes were good too. but only the "talent" got the cupcakes. Everyone else settled for donuts.

Trash to....
What could this bucket of trash become? The environmental club can turn what would normally be thrown into the trash and landfill into something useful and helpful to our environment. It doesn't happen instantly.

In the heat of the action
Kia and Zarek work together during on of the three heats during the competition.
Only two members of each team are allowed to approach the playing field. These two students can make any changes to their robot while standing there during the time limit. Looks like Zarek is checking out what the other team is up to while Kia tries to get everything perfect.

Recycle your Capri Sun pouches
Kawananakoa School has joined the CapriSun Drink Pouch Brigade.
Be a team player and help our planet by leaving your empty Capri Sun juice pouches (without the straw) in the Capri Sun Bin in the cafeteria.
You are welcomed to bring your empty pouches from home as well.
The pouches will then be mailed to the mainland where they will be upcycled into cool products such as backpacks and lunch bags.
Students may purchase Capri Sun juice during morning recess in the cafeteria.
